I can't take your bitter words
They corode my heart
and lay waste my soul
Like poison, you kill me slowly,
eat away at my core
leaving me unable to stand alone
This intoxicating drink I thought was love
really venome in disquise
Couldn't see the signs
till I was to far down the road
Like a butterfly
pummeld by the winds of fate
my wings lie battered by my side
and I find I'm unable to fly
Mabey this storm will soon end
and leave me basking
in the warmth of your love
but the clousds stretch far into the horizon
and I cannot see the sun
