Where has all the laughter gone? The children no longer play. They went off many years ago, got lost along the way.
Where have all the teardrops gone? Mother no longer cries. She gave up many years ago, Drying up her eyes.
Where has all the sunshine gone? The Earth is no longer bright. Darkness took the reign of power, turning day to night.
Where have all the people gone? They are no longer there. People, scared, ran and hid, leaving the children without care.
Where has all the laughter gone? The children no longer play. They went off many years ago, got lost, abandoned, forgotten - but who cares anyway?

True, so true. It brings song after song to mind, and memories of laughter to my eyes. |
