I used to write beautifully
Great sonnets that would inspire
I used to write gracefully
Great poems for those to admire
I used to write perfectly
With a message that once was clear
I used to write absolutely
About love and life and fear
I used to write with passion
Passion of my burning flame
And with it came compassion
For all those held in earthly chains
I used to see beauty
Inner and all about
I used to full-fill my duty
And never once doubt
I used to hear melody
Music of spring and fall
I used to hear songs that once were free
Now chained to perfect wall
But now this is all thats left
And this is all thats here
Somber ghosts of what once was
Lingering in fear
I used to be all things
Great and full of truth
My life was once in constant spring
Long ago in youth
Now constant winter torments
My spirit and soul combine
Once alivenow dormant
Sending shivers down my spine.
I guess my lifes not worth living
When nothing is full of love
Maybe I should join with
The spirits up above
I guess my life is broken
Here, the pieces for all to see
I guess this is my token
I never will be free.
