If you didn't smile at me,
Then I wouldn't be so happy.
If you didn't stare at me,
Then I wouldn't feel pretty.
If you didn't hold my hand,
Then I wouldn't know where to go.
If you didn't sing to me,
Then I wouldn't sleep at night.
If you didn't have faith in me,
Then I wouldn't try so hard.
If you didn't teach me,
Then there's so much I wouldn't understand.
If you weren't so sweet to me,
Then I wouldn't feel so valuable.
If you didn't care about me so much,
Then I don't know that I'd really care.
If you didn't give me kisses,
Then I'd spend my life missing them.
If you never held me,
Then I'd be so cold and lonely.
If you didn't help me,
Then I wouldn't get too far.
And now, one more,
If you ever read this,
Then I want to thank you.

Not sappy to me at all, it jus shows it's better to have luved for a minete than never to have luved at all.
