Trust -
A rickety old bridge,
upon which you often walk on.
Your life rests in the hands
of the untrustworthy beams.
Though hesitant,
you still take that first step.
You reach halfway,
when suddenly -
CRACK!
The bridge breaks in two,
and you tumble head first
into the dark murky water.
You begin to fall -
drowning.
Your eyes are open,
your mind grows clear,
you feel betrayed.
And as you drown you think,
"I will never walk that bridge again!"

Now this one is the most powerfull write i've read in a while!
It reminds me of a feeling I always had and that was and still is fear of deep water. I jus figered in a past life I must have drown, who knows but your write certainly discribes feelings i had after the dream or vision, what ever?

If you wouldn't mind.. I love the poem, but the first stanza is a bit redundant..see..right here..

| i definantly can identify with this. though sometimes i lack trust so much i wouldnt even be on the bridge in the first place. amazing poem. i shall be wary of bridges now, because i know ill think of this poem and the beams breaking, lol. |
