sometimes i look at the sky
and i sing my little song
and i hope that the next day will come
and nothing will go wrong!

this is how it goes
so short yet so pretty
hold on just a second
and let me get it ready!

twinkle twinkle little star
here you are to help me
guide me through tomorrow
and in my bed i''ll be!

waiting so quite and peaceful
waiting for my mom to come
that''s when i get this feeling
that i am going numb!

my knees i can''t feel now
now i am losing my touch
i wondered what has happened
to make me tingle so much!

i noticed i had something
at the bend of my arm
i looked down to find a needle
and i thought that it wouldn''t harm!

i thought i would try it
only one time
but the life i got now
was just about not mine!

it was only a dose of drugs
and i felt better afterwards
but now i feel sick
and now i hope to be heard!

this message goes to all
everyone that has not tried it
just be sure to stay away
but if you do it,don''t hide it!

i recommend that you not try it
but if you should,don''t hide it
cause someone will be sure to find out
and that''s how this story came about!

i tried to hide it and it made me hurt
so i had to tell my dad
that''s when i figured it out
the better life was the one i HAD!

my mom and dad
won''t let me out of the house now
cause they are scared i will do it again
and that''s when i knew i shouldn''t have tried it!

but basicly i am saying
don''t do it
because when you do,
you can''t do nothing else!

| You lost the poem's rhythm after stanza 7 but other than that this is good... a message that everyone should see... |

I agree about losing the rhyme on stanza 7, but I also think that stanza 3 didn't "click." But this was a great poem with a wonderful message...

| we all lose our rhymes along the way..lol..thats easy to fix. Great idea and poem though. |
