Dream

Embarrassed and humiliated
You cry out your fears
While your best friend is waiting
To wipe off all your tears.

You push him away
'cuz you feel so alone.
Terror cut like a knife
Down to your bone.

He gives you a look
like confused and dispair
But all you can remember
was that time you were bare.

He knows he must leave you
but you want him to stay
You told that strange guy no,
But he did it anyways.

He sists in a chair,
just waitin' for you
The words won't come out
for you to say "I love you".

He's only been your friend
up till this point
He hasn't offered you a drink
A cig, or even a joint.

You know he's gonna stay
He's gonna be here wit you.
But you're the surprised one
when he says "I love you".

The ice has been broken
Now here is your chance
You give him a look
And he gives you a glance.

You tell him you love him
And he says he loves you
Now you both have each other
And your dream has come true.
