When Everyone's Asleep

Contributed by HiDdEnTEARS on Tuesday, 1st February 2005 @ 06:40:17 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

You don't know me,
or at least who i really am.
When all the lights go out
and darkness is all that stands

Y
O
U

don't

K
N
O
W

me

When tears run down my cheek,
as in the dark i weap.
You don't know who i am,
when everyone's asleep.

YoU dOn'T kNoW mE

When darkness conquors light,
and i am left all alone,
with noone there to turn to,
when my real feelings are shown.

YOU

THOUGHT

YOU

KNEW

ME

when stress over rules my hesitation,
then for the knife i creep,
you don't know who i am,
when everyone's asleep.

YOU
don't
KNOW
me

When the knife runs down my wrist,
and i feel a jolt of pain,
as i cry and feircly pound,
driving myself InSaNe

DoYouStillThinkYouKnowMe?

When everyone else is peaceful,
and night is at its peek,
see, you don't know who i am,
when everyone's asleep.

Please, if this poem is about you and serious 2, please quit cutting! Self mutilation may ease your pain, but seeing your physical pain will not erase the mental pain, it will just pause it for a moment, just like alcohol and drugs... and when the wound has healed and scarred, you are left with your mental pain, a scar, and shame from the act... I'm not trying to preach to you, but one day the knife might slip, go a little far, and please don't tell me its ur life u can do what you want, because once it slips, it wont b ur life nemore... you dont HAVE to get help from someone, just find something else that helps, punch ur pillow, count to ten, write a journal, or do this, write poems... maybe u dont really cut urself, but i know people that do, and i dont want you to be like them

good written piece though

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
