Helplessly she lay on a dark and dingy sidewalk Pushing and screaming, No one will hear her on this deadly night. Children lay asleep under the warmth of their covers Even ghosts have chosen to stay in tonight
Breathless and tired, this never ending battle His lustful eyes tore her Deeper than just a dress……he tore her soul Stripped her of her innocence
She screams and kicks Then a piercing slap - She can taste her own blood….. And button by button she is slowly and painfully exposed
Her moist face like a sea The bitterness of her tears and the pointlessness of her cries No one will rescue her, No one was there……her fate……his impious desire
What could ever go through her mind? She could not stop him……he was the stronger sex She was uncovered…..Invaded from her own body by a stranger Whose eyes feasted her
He devours her…. Giving in to his temptation He sins for a brief moment of pleasure, And she will grieve perpetually
She softens, almost like dead as he forces himself in her Tears….blood…..shame….. She could no longer think nor move Like a crippled she lay……..
Till he uses her and when satisfied He pulls away….and disappears into the night And there she lay…..helplessly Like a bloody corpse, Naked and Alone…….

First off, welcome to YPDC and thanks for posting.
I always try to tread lightly around this topic, if I dare to venture into the territory at all. It's touchy and it takes a lot of strength to write things of this nature, for which I commend you.
The concepts and emotions in this poem are played out well through the imagery used. You've done well in handling such a topic by expressing it how you did. Good work. |
