They say the dead are never really dead
As long as they stay in your heart and in your head
But you couldn't get any colder
You'll stay young while I get older
When you're not with me at all
My heart and my spirit fall
And songs that made me grin
Remind me of you so much, my head spins
They say as long as you remember
The dead will be with you forever
But you're not with me at all
You no longer hold me up; so I fall
The tears brim at my eyes
I know what it's like to want to die
But I held on for you
I thought you'd hold on for me too
They say he's happier now
He's dead, he can't be happy anyhow
But you've forgotten it all
My role in your life seems so small
I'll never forget the time we spent together
You'll stay in my heart forever
They say he won't want you to cry
But what about me? I didn't want him to die
I remember everything about you
But you're not alive
What they say can't be true
Once more they lie
They say he's in a better place
He was alive here, but I guess that's not the case
I know you're not alive
To go on without you oh how hard I've strived
All the time I think of you
But you never appear
What they say can't be true
What they say isn't true
You can see it in their eyes
All they say are lies
What they say will never be true
I'm so lost without you....
