Washed Away

Contributed by Nardo on Wednesday, 2nd February 2005 @ 01:58:16 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Our house is a House of Pain.
There is no newness
there is no hope.
The bleak air stifles all life, nothing to breathe but
Solitude
Despair
and Self-Hatred.
There is no love,
for the Breath of Life
chokes and gags
as she laughs
trying not to make fun of my efforts
to live a life shared with one I thought
was The One.
My Island of Hope was nothing more
than the non-existent place
like Atlantis,
whose future was found in the watery depths
of the Ocean floor.
Washed away,
I am slowly sinking,
to meet the same fate.
The four walls surrounding me
will not fall,
for I wish they would come crumbling
down around my ears.
This would mean my freedom,
not my fate.
When its quite,
I can here my watery grave.

I could feel your pain flowing through this poem, made me feel sad and like I wanted to reach out and give you a cuddle *hugs*
