A trembling limb

A trembling limb cries at the thought of one last whim, to fall of its branch, fading quickly from fall to winter, where there are no leaves left to warm it's brown skin.
Or maybe there is one last brown rusted leaf, who sways and sways until its last thread peels as it drifts off into the eternal sunshine. Whose father is an old suffering man, a tree who dreams his last thoughts of ancient rain forests, full of the universe's enlightened laughter. For this was before humanity wiped its stains over the battle cry of nature's love.
And the limb is the inner self of every young child who weeps internally as we distract ourselves and torture our mind, body, and spirit with Mcdonald's, 50 Cent, and Grand Theft Auto, smiling fakely with a plastic shield, while subconciously remembering a true lasting happiness in other realms which were all so true, dimensions that we call life.
And internally our souls are trembling because the mind of lost spirits, bullies caught in time, are standing at our stumps, pointing accusingly at our decaying flesh, and cavity filled teeth.
Trembling, our souls fight, claw, clench fists, through sewer drained trenches as rats fight over the last crumb of bread that fell out of the sky from a bird's beak ---the soaring symbol of freedom---
And as we look up, our souls, caught in the quick sand of the mind game's trench, pray to heaven that this bird will look below. And as our last illustrious thought flows, the robin meets our eyes, equally, with mutual admiration for our struggle, and our intent to rise above

It shudders and saddens me to think that man had the potential to evolve so diffrently.
We could have still advanced and yet stayed one with nature. I KNOW it could have happened that way.
Wonderful write here, and yet so so sad. |
