A World Inside My Eyes

Contributed by Fairy on Wednesday, 2nd February 2005 @ 06:42:56 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I close my eyes from exhaustion,
Praying God will tell me when my time will come,
To pull through my mind eating games.
I've lost myself somewhere along the way to my insanity.
Must of forgotten where to find an inner happiness.
Each day when I awake to the sunrise,
Everytime I have sunshine in my eyes,
I'd like to break down and cry.
My heart can't take this life anymore.
I've just about smoked all my thoughts away.
Can't find the reason I was put on Earth,
Not sure I have a purpose.
Lost the morals I once held high for myself
I keep asking God why??
Why does my heart feel eternally doomed to pain?
Is it because of my family and their curse?
Will the skies ever brighten up for me one day?
I feel such a burden upon my chest,
One that keeps me always locked inside,
Hiding from the life God has for me.
Won't accept that I'm powerless,
Weakness is one of my best virtues.
Need to forever stay on my knees
Praying for forgiveness-
I've always led a life of unforgiving sin,
With a smile strapped across my face.
I can't find the reasoning behind the choices I make.
Will I forever make these huge mistakes?

nothing lasts forever, does that answer your question?
