Up-Coming Blow

My heart rests on pillows
Softening the up-coming blow
As I deal with the facts
That Ill have to let you go
Youve been a tower of strength for me
Ive come to depend on your advice
Never have you failed me
Or turned a shoulder of ice
You are the one constant in my life
Unchangeable with the tide
My love and respect for you
Goes deep and unendingly wide
Unselfish is your heart
But physically it grows weak
And the fear that something might happen
Quivers my voice when I speak
Cause Im not sure what Id do
If I had to face this world alone
Knowing I couldnt hear you
If I picked up the phone
Surly the Angels prepare a place in heaven
For someone as wonderful as you
A place to go and rest forever
When your days on earth are through
But here at my house the clouds pass over
Summer will never be the same
Gone will be the sun
Only to be replaced by the rain
