Snow dancing on frozen fountains Whispered words of love in dark places Kisses blown to him when all other eyes are blind
Hands intertwined under tablecloths A loving promise hidden in deadened eyes Long awaited hugs bought on stolen time
Glances hidden under eyelashes Smiles meant only for him An inside joke no one else can hear
Dust moving across solemn faces Tears kept inside, appearances must not be broken Pain that cannot be shown, lies must be covered up
Sun pouring through attic windows Gracing the pale face of broken vows As suppressed tears tumble from lost eyes
Arrangements are made Rings find their way back to empty fingers Loving promises fall away in floods
Hearts are clutched by memories Screams of grief are kept behind the dead eyes The smiles meant only for him vanish in thin air
As words in marker sink into our skin All that is wrong in the world is love
