I Should've Known

You said you'd never hurt me Or ever make me cry. You said you'd never break my heart Or make me want to die. You said you'd never leave me And never let me go. You told me not to worry, But now I guess I know. You promised to never hurt me. I swear that is a lie. Inside, my heart is shattered; And I feel like I could die. You said you'd never leave me. But now I am alone. You swore you'd always love me, But I guess I should have known.

This is great. I really liked it. The flow was good, and this is something we can all certainly relate to. Excellent work. |
