Well It's hard to see the sky when you cant see past your eyes
and its hard to breathe in deeply when your trying to avoid breathing in the flies
the makeup on your face is never new and cant seem to ever stay in place
and its hard to stop the mascara from constantly running down your face
its hard to believe those words they said
when they said everything would get better soon
when deep down inside you know that nothing they have ever said to you was true
its hard to be beautiful through layers and layers of *****
because you know your soul and spirit have long since been caked and covered in it
and you know its hard to search for warmth
and take comfort in a pair of kind eyes
when the only living things that hang around you anymore are the flies.

this is really good, and I like the concept behind it. I won't say it'll all get better soon... I've learned that it doesn't get better until you force it to get better... one way or another...
