When you are feeling extremely down
You make bad choices
That can affect the rest of your life
When this happened to me
I didn't realize until after
How guilty I felt
Just because I was hurting
I told you to come along for the ride
And cut yourself so we could die
Because I didn't feel anything about me
Was special or important
Of course people told me many times that I was
But every second grew shorter
And I doubted every word said to me
I remember someone seeing my cuts
And they laughed and said you're a cutter
When that moment happened
I felt hatred
I didn't like that not at all
But the only thing to prevent it from happening again
Is to stop
Even though it may be hard
I know I enough about the people I love to stop
