The Bully

Dont hate me cause Im different
Dont make fun of my name
Hearts werent made for breaking
And cruelty isnt a game
Dont stand me out in a crowd
Dont laugh and point a finger
For the emotional scars that you build
Are painful and tend to linger
Ive done nothing to ask for this
Ive kept only to myself
You take away from my confidence
And from my mental health
I cant hide in the shadows
I cant disappear in the air
But facing you each day
Is something that I fear
So before you throw your stones
Try to understand
Youre not hurting just the boy
Itll still affect him when hes a man

My son is a special needs child who faces this daily. His strength amazes me. Thank you for sharing this.
