through the darkness
a face emerges
the evil runs
and through it, purges
a bony hand
all caked in dust
pushes terror
with a thrust
screaming skulls
and dying gasps
a deathly cold
like an asp
a reaper's kiss
a dead embrace
dripping blood
from a shattered face
a jumping form
from your bead
you're lying there
rotting dead
a flitting thought
gone away
did you ever know
death is gray
