Shards of stardust sprinkle my palm
not even the moon could attest to their power
as if to smile they glitter
and in all their luster
they are still inferior
to any breathing being
because they in themselves
have no existence
but hold only a promise
and although this promise holds no truth
it is imperative for life
and voluntary for living
