Don't Let The Rain Come Down On Me

Contributed by unlovedchild on Saturday, 5th February 2005 @ 02:57:52 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I have struggled to keep myself free
Of pain and misery
So please don't make me lose it now
And keep my skies clear
Don't let the rain come down on me
Because the pain is slowly fading
And everything is overrated
So let the sun shine upon me
And brighten my days
For everyone is precious and can not be missed
Don't let the rain come down on me
I want to run around in circles
And talk until I need to breathe
I want to feel the wind
Upon my face
I want to hear the sound of someone's voice
Calling my name
And when I'm starting to feel sad
Please
Don't let the rain come down on me
I see everyone
Running free
I wish I could be them
Because they are not me
And no matter how hard I try
I can never be
Anyone but me

This was so touching. I read it with a tone of desperation, like u just dont want things to turn to crap on u wen theyre just going so good. When you can be so happy, why can u be so sad? Those kind of things were just stirring in me and your poem really spoke to me. Great write. Again, very touching.

This is such a powerful write. The emotion that pours out of it is so raw and sad. I love this poem of yours. Wonderful work!
