Ive dreamt of you forever
I put your picture on my wall
You were everything I was looking for
But then you made my whole world fall

You smile into the camera
But your life is less than glamorous
Ill stand in the back of the crowd
What a disaster you have become

Id rather have the fantasy
And never even have known you
I wish I had never loved you
Youre not who I thought you were

Id rather be dreaming
Of whatever my mind made out of you
I never would have imagined
Youre not who I thought you were

Theyve dreamt of you forever
They put your picture on their wall
You were everything they were looking for
But I know youre nothing like that at all
