Lost in the darkness

She's always loved the night
But this night is darker then the others
There's not a star in the sky
The moon is gone
It's hard to see where she's going
Every place she goes she runs into something
Darkness was her world
And now she's lost in it
Afraid that she'll be lost forever
All she wants is to find her way home
But all she can do is stand and wonder where she is
She has no idea how close to home she is
Or how long it will take to get back
Maybe she should just wait for the sun to come up
But what if it never does
She'll be lost forever
There's got to be light somewhere
It can't be dark everywhere
She screams for someone to help her
But all she hears is her own voice echoing back at her
Soon she realizes it was her all along
Making everything dark
Keeping the sun from shining
Her heart has grown black
Making everything around her dark
She has no friends
No one to help her at all
She's all by herself
No one will ever be able to find her
And she doubts she'll ever be able to find herself
