Something Like Cinderella

My skirt twirls around with me As you twirl me around Waltzing happily Happiness is found
It happens at midnight Midnight is when I must leave The clock strikes and I take flight Flying from this Ball-dancing eve
I step down the stairs Gracefully stepping along Glass shoes make me step with care One glass shoe falls off, regrets lifelong
Back on the street, I look at the Castle I am back again, no more brags The little pauper girl, poor and bashful For I am only Cinderella, dressed in rags.
