SHATTERED
Shattered.......
the frame lays at my feet
an accident......
yet so symbolic
Shattered......
my dreams of you lay
in my heart
broken promises
Shattered.......
everything we hoped for
dreamed for
we were never meant to be
Shattered.......
our relationship lies
between us
we step carefully
Shattered.........
our words are like the shards of glass
that lay at my feet
we cut one another
Shattered..........
into a billion pieces
may we have the sense
not to look for the glue............
This was written on the death of a marriage.

The title caught my eye Carol. Another very relatable write. I like the format and the reinforcement of the title in every stanza ... it gives a certain sense of finality and acceptance. Nicely done. My favorite lines ...
"Shattered.........
