Come, little kitten, I wont hurt a soul.
Welcome to life, let me show you around.
Come, little kitten, fresh, bloody, and cold.
Please, take my hand and Ill show you around.

This is the garden where you will chase frogs.
This is the tree where youll pray.
This is the river from which you shall drink.
Notice, the suns out today.

This is the lifetime that you will get.
Youll live only fourteen years.
Come, little kitten, youre soaking wet.
Come dry those eyes and have no fear.

This is the boy wholl raise you up.
Hes already twelve years old.
Please grow to love him for part of your life.
At nineteen, love will lose its hold.

Please grow attached. Get as close as you can,
and maybe Ill wind up wrong.
His mother will die before you do
and hell need you to carry on.

Come little kitten, at nine years old
youll lose the use of your ears.
Come little kitten, I know youre cold.
You can sleep over here.

Come little kitten, I wish you well,
I know youll have fun in your life.
You came just in time, my cowardly friend
to see the boy marry his wife.

Youll help your new friend through ups and through downs
and overall, itll be good.
I wish you farewell and a bon voyage
and know things will end as they should.

Remember the tree, remember to pray,
remember to chase those frogs.
Remember the river. Remember your life
cause next time your one of the dogs.
