I'm sorry for many things
That I am not good enough for you
You told me you liked me and I liked you to
But now you said it won't work in a time I need you most
I'm sorry I can't be better
Or perfect for that matter
But all I am is human
And we sometimes make mistakes
I'm sorry you don't realize
That I am not anyone but me
And even though I hurt myself
It doesn't change who I am
I'm sorry I can't prove to you
That I am better than what you see
I told you I wasn't good enough from the beginning
But you insisted I was and made me agree
I'm sorry I let you make me believe
That I was special and cared for
You said you wouldn't hurt me
But now you are going to leave
Friends isn't something I want to be
I'm sorry I can't be friends
With someone who just brings hurt
But at least you are worth something
But me I'm no more than dirt
I'm sorry for breaking my promise to my friends
When I took that glass and did what I have done before
Now you can't trust me
To keep something not meant to be broken
I'm sorry I couldn't hold to it
But some things over do it
Even though there is no excuse
I went away and did it
I'm sorry that I cried out
But no one heard my call
Sometimes something little seems like nothing at all
I'm sorry that I thought
I could protect myself from pain
But I was bound to be hurt
Time and time again
I'm sorry I felt immune to your love
Which turns out now to be false
Or you would stay here with me
I'm sorry that I made people care
For a no one at all
I wish I could disappear
And never come back again
So no one would have to know me
It must be a sin
To even know who I am
I'm sorry I am making you commit a crime
Because if seeing me isn't bad enough
Talking and knowing me must be
I should just get up and leave
So turn away don't look at me
Or I will just cause you pain
Misery isn't something you should suffer from
I'm sorry for causing you all of these problems
And for making you worry about me
My problems should not be your problems too
But since I have already caused all this damage
All I can give is an apology
I'm sorry

heartbreaking write but dont always apologize some arent worth the breath....
your to hard on yourself you are human and its a rare thing to find unconditonal love these days but you will find someone with that love for you. First of all take care and love yourself you are the most important to begin with!!

This is absolutely heartbreaking...... you should not have to be sorry for being who you are. Your friend should accept you as you are...

So much sorrow and agony, seems you are sorry for something, to me its like you are sorry for being you.
Dont know why, you should be proud for there is only one you, a one of the kind, beautiful and true, is what I saw and felt.
You put some much deep feelings and hurt emotions in this poem.
Deep and passionate write, hope you find true love, for you sound like you genuinly deserve better than you are going through now, excellent poem. |
