The other night I realized
That you're still in my dreams
And I couldn't help but almost cry
When you smiled a me
In my dream we're still together
We had never grown apart
And wonderful thoughts of one another
Still echoed in our hearts
You held me close and said some things
That I cannot recall
Because the last thing that you said to me
Blew away them all
You said "I love you
And I'll never let you go.
It's times like these, you're all that I need
I just had to let you know."
That's the last thing that you told me
Before I pulled away
And looked into those eyes of green
I only had one thing to say:
Is it times like these
That you regret
The way you broke my heart?
Is it times like now
That you want to forget
That we are apart?
In a moment like this,
Is it now that you wish
That you could change your mind?
And undo what you did,
Give me one more kiss,
Turn back the hands of Time?
It was then I found out
That you felt no shame
For leaving me to wonder why
But I must confess,
I'll take all of the blame
Because it wasn't love,
It was one big lie
If you had known then
I didn't mean what I said,
Would you have reacted this way?
If I could go back
I'd take it all back
Just to feel safe in your arms again
Do you ever feel that way?
Tell me, How did it feel when you just had to say
"I love you
And I'll never let you go
It's times like these, I feel you're all that I need
I just had to let you know."
So is it times like these
That you regret
