when we had first met
we were introduced by a friend
thinking in my head
"i might never talk to her again"
i know in our friendship
weve had the rights and the wrongs
but i also know that our friendship
will still remain strong
yes i pushed you away
but i wasnt afraid
because i knew in my heart
that you were here to stay
i will always remember
all the times you showed you cared
when you were the one
who was always there
as i look into the future
there is much to see
but the one thing that stands out
is you and me
