When Minutes Seem Like Hours

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 10th February 2005 @ 11:53:02 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When minutes seem like hours,
Love is a sad & beautiful flower,
You wait to hear their voice on the phone,
Without their presence you feel all alone.

Everything reminds your wilting heart,
That you & your love are now apart,
You sit there yearning & waiting,
You lay silent anticipating.

Clock seems to go back in time,
Here I wait wanting you to be mine,
I wish you would burst through that door,
As you did all those times before.

I know that one day when you leave,
You wont come back & I will grieve,
Trapped inside a bubble of despair,
Feeling the pain of you not being there.

I let out a sigh as I think about you,
Think about how in my life you once flew,
Without no hint & no pleasant warning,
My love deepens with each days new dawning.

2 call this a poem takes on the connotation

of composition day in elementary school, u

know, " what i did on my summer vacation "

this is simply another one of your beautiful

writtings, filled with hope and longing and

most of all, the loving side of your creativeity

that only one as gifted as u, could produce . . .

Oh Krissie, this is beautiful, and so sad.
I adore it.
Especially these lines:

Everything reminds your wilting heart,
That you & your love are now apart,
You sit there yearning & waiting,
You lay silent anticipating.

Absolutley beautiful.

*hugs* Phil xxx

You write your emotions out so well Pixie. I envy that at times, mine just don't come out that easily, that freely ... I gotta dig 'em up and then try and decipher what the heck they mean.
