I can feel it and see it
Were drifting apart
And it kills me to think
That someday youll be gone
We are but two ships
Passing in the night
Two stars that twinkled
Then quickly burned out
We once had an unbreakable bond
Forged by the great fire of love
Thats now been broken
By steady disregard
You want to hang on
And keep what you got
But the distance between us now
Is too far to bridge
Id love nothing more
Than for things to be the same
But theyll never be
Because people dont change
I could rescue us
But I would lose me
A price Id gladly pay
But some things arent meant to be
