Condemned behind massive iron bars Separated from my inner being Isolated within my mind, it waits Silent Patient Pure Anger drives me to it Pushes me along dusty corridors Seldom visited anymore Swiftly Steady Sure I know all of the safeguards After all, I installed them myself They do not deter me this time Turn - Step Twist - Jump Duck I allow a few razors to penetrate Their sting feeds the fire Crimson stains raise my ire Forward Right - Left Tuck Finally, there before me, the final test The Guardians of the Gate Mental mirrors of myself Beware Turn back Hold I face them with self rightous indignation I tear them limb from limb, barehanded Know that I am destroying peices of me Press on Advance Bold The gate before me opens at my command I am, after all, the master of this domain I have created this sanctuary and I enter Cautious Careful Guage Long imprisoned within these guarded walls Willing us to become again as one I draw the captive unto me Give in Succumb
RAGE
We are reunited and released Out into the world __________________________________

Ever-inspiring, ever-flawless... I will never know what will come out of you next, cheri... The rage, the dominance... Incredible power in these words that you weave so beautifully... Loved this piece, as I love all your others... A mental prison created by the master himself. The depth in your words is boundless. Intense. I wonder what inspired this one?
Ah, yes... the inner demons... they hide within the shadows of your mind, but they neever fully leave you... Fabulous. I can totally relate to this. Thanks so much for sharing with us your soul... Always a pleasure reading your masterpieces. If only moonlight could keep the demons of depression at bay..." Oui, cheri...if only... Forever,
Votre fleur de souffrance |

I like the way you put it all in bold too, as it matches the mood and the iron bars.
I get mad, I mostly just cry, because I hate to be. Then if I need to confront (takes me a while to get up the nerve) I always seem to choose the wrong time, the wrong words, whatever...
Anyway, excellent write. Blessings. |

This is amazing Nazzy,
You are so creative with your words, when I write how I feel I tend to say it as it is, you are the one with the real talent. You can weave your words into a picture...
Stunning.
I hope things are better for you soon,
I look forward to your next.
Much love and many hugs,

Well, I'm hoping this demon doesn't visit you often, but damn, this was one fine poem. Grim, but good. Well done.

Naz, This is a fantastic write: so creative and powerful with the imagery. It seems to represent inner turmoil with different parts of self in conflict with one another. Like a catharsis with a build up to a creshendo or explosion of the rage. Then a reunion or merge into cohesiveness.
That's my take anyway, Superb!
Willofree,
Terry |
