I have the courage to stand, alone and unaided,
The strength not to heed, when I am degraded,
The grace to forgive, when I am deluded,
The heart not to hate, when I am excluded.
I have what I need and I am contented,
I can compromise when we are dissented.
I have the compassion to show love unyielded,
The words to express my emotions, unshielded,
The will to keep going when strength has subsided,
The loyalty needed to love undivided.
Because of you now I have gained all I needed
To fill avoid, gone, now that you've interceded.
You have my whole heart though it be uninvited,
You shall have it still, though it be unrequited.
