Still With Me

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Even though I know you are gone
As hard as it may seem to believe
You taught me right from wrong
And I believe you are still with me

I know pain is something that time cannot erase
And love is something that can never be replaced
These are emotions that keep haunting my mind
Every time I think of your unholy demise

With all the ***** going on in the world today
I don't feel like there is much I can do
But I know when I see your face
You are the one that guides me through

Even though I know you are gone
As hard as it may seem to believe
You taught me right from wrong
And I believe you are still with me

I'm starting to think about what I should become
While listening to music and cranking it up loud
I'm not going to live life feeling like I always have to run
I hope to make the right choices and make you proud

You are the one who gave me power
To get me through when others wanted to devour
And even when I felt like ending my life
You are the one who showed me the light

Even though I know you are gone
As hard as it may seem to believe
You taught me right from wrong
And I believe you are still with me

Everyone who really knew you
Knew that you were a great person
Those who never had a clue
Never had the right to make assertions

The memories I have of you can never be taken away
They will remain here until I am forsaken, end of days
This is why I will never give in
Cause my strength is building from within
