Looking back I remembered where we started
The journey has been different
Pathways of destinations
where lessons were taught
some of pain and others of happiness
I always knew if i lost my way
there was a hand to help me back
That hand belonged to a man
I called him my Destiny
I understand what Destiny was saying
Friendship had to come first
and as the friendship grows
branches of emotions start to flourish
and when they are nutured
trust and love will follow.
Moments of pleasure you have given me
and love that I know you feel
you have made me feel wanted
when alone I sometimes felt
Those moments when I felt warm and loved
are memories that I cherish
I thank you for understanding me
and never pushing me away
I write this to you with tears from my heart
as I thank you, Destiny
for loving me the way I am.
