Valentines day approaches
In fact its almost here
The day to express love
To those we hold so dear

For me I look back
On the little things we did
Love poems on the fridge
Candied hearts that we hid

Special Valentines breakfast
That you use to cook
Heart shaped pancakes
The decorated nook

Has not been that long
Since you had to leave
The tears they still come
Many days I still grieve

As each day passes
I find there are new firsts
The holidays without you
I believe they were the worst

There will be many more
As each summers goes
One first that shall never be
The day I dont think of you so

I shall look to the heavens
And on Monday I shall say
Mom you know I love
Happy Valentines Day
