My heart wants to believe
My mind says dont
My heart says he really cares
My mind says hes not for real
My heart wants to feel all that he says
My mind says dont listen
My heart aches to feel his touch and gentle kiss
My mind says turn and run away
My heart longs for our contentment
My mind says it will never be
My heart wants to be his
My mind knows it will never be
My heart feels way too much
My mind knows that hes scared of what he feels
My heart wants to be loved and cared for by him
My mind knows Im just a good time friend
My hearts says he will always be there
My mind knows he turns away when life is rough
My heart says he'll be back
My mind cries for I know I'll be there
My heart wants to believe
My body wants to feel
My mind is just a mass of grey matter that is
Tumbling with thoughts and fears of what
Will never be here
