My YPDC Family.

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Friday, 11th February 2005 @ 09:03:50 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

I have a soul sista,
And shes nothing like me
With her witty flair, and inspiring words,
She laughs at the strangest things, but we all laugh with her
She says my French is sexy and way cool,
Ma cheri Mary, the one to go to when you need a smile
Nowadays, a slowly wilting rose,
The results of too much sorrow and anguish
Yet, shes still as sly and slick as ever
Like I mentioned before,
We could wilt away together,
We could take a plane to eternity
Drift off into oblivion,
And become nothing,
But wed do it together
Make a suicide pact,
You go first!
A phrase that a special son used to say
Always a good laugh with her,
And Im forever grateful to meet such a lady,
To have such a friend
Long talks of nothing and everything,
A shot of brandy near a crackling fire,
And conversations of the men we adore
Lets tie one on,
And maybe have a couple more
We must be out of our minds,
Cause neither of us drink,
But its fun to pretend we do!
Full time dreamers,
Mistresses of Poetry, and more
Mary of the autumn green eyes and flaming red hair,
My eternal soul sista and ultra-frais home girl!
Je tami.

I have an extra-special friend,
And hes really grand
Always there for me,
Another fellow poet of this vast YPDC family
His name was given to him by a dragon,
A brave hunter of all sorts
Forever leaving me breathless,
By the words he creates so flawlessly
A soul to outshine all the others,
Hes truly one of a kind
On days of late, hes been feelin a bit out of place,
Struggling with the voices within,
And the demons that haunt him through the night
I guess yucky moods are contagious,
Even through a monitor screen
Everyday, I search for his name,
I hunt for his newest work,
Hoping to find solace within these gorgeous expressions
Hey, youve got mailgoody goody
Hannibal Lecter tells me that he has written,
And I experience this overwhelming feeling of joy,
For his words are the highlight of my day
I discover that I have 15 letters from a pretty wonderful guy,
I so often wonder why he spends so much time on me
Ma douce chasseur, Nazmythian,
Always the comforting companion
Go to him if you need some huggles and comfort,
He always knows exactly what to say
Wishing to click my heels, say Theres no place like home,
And be in his arms
Theres nothing better than a hug and some smiles,
Sent from the Washingtonian hunter of obscurities
Je tami.

With his surreal words and profound comments,
He always makes my day
Yep, you guessed it, the great Zenmind!
Ma cher plus ami, another fellow poet of the YPDC kin,
He speaks of life and hope,
Love and darkness
A good example of a Poet Rambler,
Those are the best kind!!
(Heck, Im one too)
Always a pleasure reading his thoughts and input on things,
Long, insightful, and ever-inspiring explanations
He reads me like a book,
And enjoys the many faces of moi
Hes quite a guy,
Forever finding the good in things and giving you hope,
You go to him if you need anything
He listens carefully to every word,
Ever the patient and loving friend
Ma precious Zenmind,
The brilliant mastermind of bizarre tales,
And painter of Salvadore Dali-like masterpieces turned into words
That just says it all
Je tami.

Shelby, KQueen, TimeBot, Sweetangelukxx,
My 4 gals of support and friendship
Poetess of the century,
Weavers of both dark and light
Girl friends till the end,
Beautiful souls that express themselves,
Be it brutal honesty,
The sweetest of love,
Or the purest of pain
Jecks, DorianChambers, wolfman,
The new additions to ma toujours famille
Very fond of their work and theyre very fond of mine,
Always nice to see their names pop up during the day
True masters of the art of poetry,
They never fail to captivate and impress
The best kind of friends,
Always there for you
Cant help but be speechless,
As their words of love unfold and dance on the screen

Ah, such a large family I have been blessed with,
Diverse in their ways of thinking and writing,
All beautiful in their own special way
The greatest of friends,
The poets and poetesses of the millennium
Je tami for all time

Merci beaucoup for all the laughs, smiles, hugs, and great memories to look back on!
Love you guys! Forever, your Fleur de Sang *Stephy*

To you Steph----All of my love and gratitude---- You deserve it all. It seems appropriate that this poem is posted on Valentines day. Yes, it is a perfect tribute to your friends and family here on YPDC, and what I am most impressed with is that it is written very well. I think it is easy to fall into the "cheesy" category with a poem of this nature, but I love the way this flowed together, and painted unique portraits of all of these amazing individuals. It came across as real, like your friends have definitely had an impact on your life, and I think that is the most important aspect that is expressed through your words.

We could wilt away together,
We could take a plane to eternity…
Drift off into oblivion,
And become nothing,

Great great great! I love these lines. As always, profound imagery speaks to my voice and resonates within me. "Drift off into oblivion and become nothing"----beautiful, that expresses something that is beyond words.

And one more thing, Thank you so much for mentioning me. I think you, of all people on this site, understand and appreciate my poetry for what it is. Thanks for seeing me for who I am.

Be True,
zenmind

Be True,
zenmind

Mot persuing, le chasseur est ici. Cheminement des mots de beauté. Alimentez mon âme affamée. Votre présence est feutre. Vos lèvres se sont accrochées aussi. Chaque syllable, l'eau pour un homme desséché.
( I hope that worked as it was intended )

Thank you Stephy ... I love that !!!

Nazmythian ~
