Distance of a pillar Flexing forged laurels Bridges that span Close quarter quarrels
Echoes of a past Counting split spoils Ensnared in an arm That comforts and coils
Fresh blood spilled And pockets were filled A moment later Conscience was billed
And somewhere Somebody cried
Death flashed a smile Twin hearty laugh An agent acted On his black behalf
And somewhere Somebody died
While the night grew thick and learned a new trick Leaving all present With some inky sick
And Fate met Silence In a vacuum of Trust And everything crumbled To memories of dust
