I've been biting my fingers all night
bloodless rampage of blame
do i brush your dreams
do i grace your words
am i present in your mind
i'm kneeling at the edge
all your cause
and you don't know my face
you couldn't find me in a crowd
i'm sure we've passed in silence
pain that speaks so loud
does he know that you're there
beneath every morsel of food
you're the deterioration of hope
the last gasping breath in my lungs
the hearts last beat of collapse
you're the burning road when i'm looking back
the regret paved forum of life
the fork and spoon decision
he sees the image
frail and forming
the trailing blood on the raw fingers
unaware
he's always unaware
i am the nightmare
the reason i wake screaming
i am the demon cursed and cursing
