I have been given someone to confide in
Someone to laugh with in good times
Someone to cry with in hard times
I have been given someone to let me vent my anger
Let me tell my fears to and dreams to
I have been given someone who understands when I cant talk
Because the words just arent there
I have been given the chance to be me
Silly goofy and caring and sensual and free spirited
I have been given the chance to build a little confidence
To stand tall and be proud of what I am
I have been given someone that believes in me
Someone that trusts in me
I have been given someone who understands my emotions
Good bad and ugly
I have been given someone who wants to make me
Happy the best way he can the and the only way he thinks he can
Why ask for more
Because you have shown me what we can
Be together if we only take the chance
