I See Thee Now, Forevermore

Contributed by night_child on Sunday, 13th February 2005 @ 10:25:32 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I saw you standing there
Under a silver moon sky
Watching as the world went by

I saw you cry
Your tears glittering like the oceans
I saw
I saw
What I've done to you

I watched you from the same old bar
Same old time
'Bartender pour me something strong'
This old room
In the middle of a blackened world

And now I'm staring up above
Under a silver moon sky
Watching as the clouds roll by

I watch as the ocean
Steals my love
Your beautiful face
Dissappearing beneath a gray monster

I wonder what would have become
Of us
If you would lay beside me
And chase away my pain

But it's just another dream
A silly though
That I'll tuck away for another day

I saw you
I saw you
I see you still
Everywhere I go you're there

Until the day I die
I will love a man
Who gave me everything
And took my heart from me

Alas,
The Doves that carry me away
Deep into the night
Cry tears of crimson
