Warning: An unexpected let down could occur if turbulence strikes fear and dread into your asphyxiated spine. The recommended remedy lies within your stomach and purges upwards through your chest in the form of laughter, that echos the sound one makes after death and during birth, when your toes are tickled against the crisp air, firm in its intensity.
Every fear has the same remedy and each answer turns one's attention inward, moment by moment, whereby the same reoccuring pattern emerges. The same words are repeated, the same all knowing voice answers through the darkness, which unties your blind fold that is worn to keep your lies from being exposed to the presence of yourself, illuminated, aware, we all encompass the all encompassing, but lose sight of ourselves within our mind's shadow, a distorted vision of beauty that attracts our inner yearning for solidity, for depth, for truth, all transformed to fit our own lusts and desires.
Every moment translates the untranslated and repeats the same message in the form of silent awareness, the reminder of time, of death, of life, of strife, of realization, of purity, of war, of hope, of love, each existing within a single breath, exhaled, and furthermore as we inhale, the moment is recycled into the next ....exhale..... ....and again.... ....and again.... ....and again....
Have you ever gazed into the moon? With its mysterious subtlety it controls the ocean's tide and the warewolf's howl. With its illuminated face, it tells stories of the cosmic bang with an expression that whispers, "Ah", overwhelmed with the infinte complexity and simplicity of the void within space, and of the single trembling leaf, which sways delicately on a tree's limb, exposed to the brutalities of highly revered unknowns.
The moon is the force that consumes beasts with the inner yearning to kill, and is what drives humans to the most extraordinary and illogical ends to hold and possess love. The moon is a mirror and when you turn your eyes toward it, you always see yourself reflected in time, eternal.
And again, the same reminder is reflected through an infinite number of forms, all one form, and suddenly we realize that we are all constantly returning to the same realization, that throughout time and throughout life, there is only one realization, and it is that everything is everything, and that everything is you, and that everything is just a reflection of the infinite depths of yourself, eternally present in every moment.

you were correct in your assumption, this was very interesting. i wanted to read your poem right off the bat, because i usually do enjoy philosophical pieces more than some of the more shallow poems in meaning. this poem was no exception. this was well written in the exceptence that some of your words in the third stanza were repeated too redundantly. i never like to read lists in poems. then it seems like some of your verses could be taken out, and then it is realized you lose meaning with their absence. maybe you should have the intent to write more of these =] |

I thought htis was provoking but long, and a little rambling.
Tighten it up and I think you will have something good here - the content is worthwhile. |

"we all encompass the all encompassing,

Wow...
*struggles for what to say and decides simply: YOU are illuminated. :)
*goes back for the third read and finds:
"inner yearning for solidity"
Talk about striking the nail on the head. Where does that come from? What a keen observance spoken with total encompassment (If that makes any sense!) |
