Blanket of Love

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Friday, 18th February 2005 @ 07:29:13 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Youve held me close when all seemed to fall apart,
My warm blanket on a cold, early morning,
Lost within the depths of your safe embrace,
Not wanting to awaken from this beautiful lucid dream,
However, the progressing dawn beckons for me

Another day of endless illusions,
Friends grow apart, lovers fade, and what you thought was right, was really wrong
Cold and weary, I turn to you for comfort,
And you give me so much more
In our own little world,
A realm of love and friendship,
Such ecstasy, this feeling
You do something to me,
That gets me so confused,
Of who I amof what I want of everything

Drowning in a sea of you,
I dare not take a breath
A love that transcends eternity,
And when eternity ends, forever begins, and the cycle goes on incessantly
Its an adoration that goes beyond human conceptit justis.
More lovely than any sonnet created,
More precious than any priceless gem
Kindred spirits from the start,
Artists by soul and heart
We were meant to be,
Herelike thisyou and me.

Your voice, a melodious hymn to my heart,
The music you create resonates deliciously through my body,
And I cant help but tremble

If music be the food of love, play on

Ah, dearest Shakespeare, thy words ignite,
Roaring flames deep withinyet, his expressions so easily smolder my heart
The winds carry a distinct tune,
Whispering sweetly, This is fate

I explore with curious eyes,
Those infinite orbs of heaven,
And I cant help but sigh,
When you smile,
As your soul brilliantly shines through

Poet and dreamer, mentor and student, lover and friend
We can only be respectable companions,
And nothing more

But, if we could be something far greater,
Than just two wandering souls in this vast world,
Oh, it would be perfectit would be...eternal
