Walking Past What Is Lost --------------------------------------- No matter how much it hurts. A man can never run away from his past a man is the man he sees in the memories of pleasant days How can one expect to grow and move on if he's too scared to face his demons face to face? No place to escape
one is in one his demons can never be misplaced We wish for happiness but arent able to handle the painful consequences we may encounter when in search of it. So we look harder to see past the truth and into a cloud of believable lies, that sooths what our curiosity often finds in the shadows. I failed in so many ways. Lost and tired, I tried, but failed My soul crumbled under the pressure I got lost in the depths of my anger It put me in a trance made the world blow up infront of me I ran from the only thing I knew in life Not even giving it a goodbye, when I said hi courteously before Once a man has found his reason for living he notices the little things they grow to be a part of him
they always were a part of him His eyes choose only to see beauty Beauty is every where when sought after hard enough He chooses only to speak truth Cause lies can't over power what is real He will inhale life and exhale happiness Then recycle it over as his hate is erased He will learn to love Cause he loves himself He will sleep at night with no worries Dream catchers keep out the horrible nightmares His back will be guarded with flames for the witches and monkeys who wish to ride it Smiling eyes rolled around to the dreams that enchant beautiful screams Who wishes to keep him in a state of fear The night itself is to selfish to worry about
him Who wishes to keep him from screaming Ears will be deafened by his glorious thrills But a man whom has found happiness will not have it He will know that he is in control of himself Happiness is said to heal all wounds Like holy water on a sinners heart In the shadows of your heart lies the faith to help you capture it when the opportunity presents itself You have to ready yourself to take advantage of the opportunity to not let it escape your grasp With that prepare to take on the battle grounds before you The war ends with you, but started when hope was let down At the other end awaits what you have been running from Time to finish the race and let life sink in At the other end awaits what you have been searching for it was right before your eyes, no need to the magnifying glass and fine tooth comb Reunite with your past. For the happiness. For the growth. It's my time to live

some of the things i noticed in this is that you rambled quite often in this even though it was storylike. you switched from telling a story to telling a message, which means that the story was basically pointless background information of how you arrived to your thoughts. some of your verses in this need some cleaning up to be somewhat more poetic, they were just statements. "Dream catchers keep out the horrible nightmares" that is just a statement, and it doesnt even look like a necessary one at that. you have a lot of verses/lines in here that i see no point in them. it just seems like they are there to progress through the story, very slowly.
