Paperback February 17, 2005 He had dusty kick 'em boots And a slow southern drawl Eyes of blue and crystal fused And a belt buckle in the shape of a bull Nobody knew him, but everybody did The wise men on the corner Called him the Mystic Kid He moved rather slow in a bold sort of way With his eyes cast down on the road He never spoke, he never smiled But over his shoulder he carried the same pack load Nobody saw him come, nobody saw him go The wise men on the corner Said he must be beaten down with woe He had rough trace of shadow on his face He called everybody Ace He kept a paperback book Tucked in the back of his denim jeans The wise men on the corner Asked him if he'd come back after he leaves He looked away into the sunset and said "by all means"
