She's So Sad

Contributed by AliB on Saturday, 19th February 2005 @ 06:45:17 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Struggling with feelings she doesnt understand
Frustration rules a colourless life
Dreams shattered, a pitiful existence
Void of all hope, desperate and alone
No-one to love her, to protect her from harm
A longing for excitement, a lust for life
Beaten out of her long ago
Bruises and scars, to see and to feel
Freedom is lost, fear is to stay
Betrayed once too often, trust never her friend
Ghosts of the past, haunting every waking moment
Torturing and tormenting her heart and her soul
Anger boils over, recaptures memories lost
Reliving a time when she had the strength to fight back
But now silence surrounds her
Echoing the beat of her heart
Weak and defeated
She gives up
Shes so sad

this poem is pretty good. I don't agree that it is written perfectly, it does not flow as smoothly as it could. and the topic is not that original. but over all not bad.
