Battle Of The Minds

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Faces of children are everywhere
but not yours
Their voices are everywhere
but not yours
Why do I even care?

Their presence tortures me
I can't let go of you
The cool breeze passes
and I miss your warmth

I hate your cold touch
and your stone cold heart
I hate the way you treat me
I want to turn back time so much

These fibers are breaking apart
Releasing the truth
Your face I cannot avoid
There's a knife that I want to
stab into your heart

But I can't
There's too much that
I already regret

I followed you and regretted it
I walked away from you and regretted it

You treat everyone like a scab,
you pick and won't leave it alone.
Then it hurts so bad, it bleeds
it heals, but you make it worse

There's so much that I could
blackmail you on
but I don't
it'll hurt others

I'll cure these feelings and
show you that
I don't need you

You're not gonna use me anymore
If you need the action,
use that ***** of yours

The side that cares for you
is vanishing
I don't need to explain why I
did the things I did

Thank you for teaching me not
to be so naive
and knowing that I don't
need a guy to be whole

You helped me find myself
Tonight I erase the memories
of you
And never again will I look back what What's His Face
did to me
