Is Someone There?

Darkened nights of misery
Howling winds of darkened skies
Shadows roaming silently
Terrors awakened at this time

A hallow mind and broken soul
Contorted flames of livid rage
Sadness creeping in the darkened depths
Defiance in their needed rest

Is someone there?
Are you watching?

Yet hatred glaring coldly in the eyes
Darker passion that one cant hide
Tears of anguish kept locked up
Sins of turmoil ready to erupt

And with the change at hatreds core
Nothing seems to matter anymore
And yet, no one seems to care
Is someone there?

War that brings us pain and longing
Yearning to remember the light
And even so, we continue to fight

A hallow mind and broken soul

Is someone there?
Can someone aid us?
Isnt there anyone out there that will help us?
Its a dark cold world out there
While we wait in isolation and despair

Children crying quietly
Roaming through the dark nights
Who is left to protect them?
Many going homeless and without recollection

War that brings us pain and longing
Yearning to remember the light
And even so, we continue to fight

Is someone there?
Will you help us?
Are you watching?
Is someone there?
